A made-to-order steel single-mass flywheel for the BMW M30B35 engine, complete with starter ring gear.
What was needed
A single-mass flywheel for the M30B35 straight-six — replacing the factory dual-mass unit and serving as the clutch base in an engine build.
Why it could not be bought
The original dual-mass flywheel is expensive and wears out, and ready-made single-mass replacements for the M30B35 are practically unavailable.
How we solved it
The flywheel is made from scratch in steel to the engine's dimensions: centre bore and 8 crankshaft bolt holes, threaded holes for the pressure plate, finish-machined friction face and a fitted starter ring gear. A one-off for a specific engine.
